PDF to Word — appearance or editable text
Choose a Word copy that keeps the page appearance as images, or extract editable text. Image-based Word pages preserve the visual layout but their text is not editable. Keep the original PDF.
One PDF · up to 20 MB · 100 pages maximum
Appearance mode includes scanned pages, tables and artwork as page images; it does not make their text editable. Maximum 50 pages. For editable scanned text, use OCR.
Text extraction follows the PDF’s stored reading order; columns and tables may need cleanup. This is not a layout-preserving PDF-to-Word conversion.

Using PDF to Word
Choose a PDF and select Keep page appearance or Editable text, then convert and review the output.
Example: Send a visually matching Word copy or editable text
- Open a PDF containing a heading, table and two pages.
- Choose Keep page appearance to put each rendered page into Word as an image. Choose Editable text if changing the words matters more than preserving columns and artwork.
- Open the Word download and check every page. Image-based pages are not editable text; scans need OCR for text extraction.
What to check before sharing
Appearance mode uses page images, not editable text, and supports up to 50 pages. Editable text can lose columns and tables.
